中視體育推廣有限公司董事總經理，央視《武林大會》出品人。碩士研究生，中共黨員，1989年畢業于北京師範大學研究生院體育理論專業並獲碩士學位，同年進入中央電視臺體育部。

　　1989年─1994年從事記者、編輯、責任編輯等工作。

　　1994年─2004年從事十年製片人的崗位工作。

　　2005年任中視體育推廣有限公司董事總經理至今。CCTV資深體育記者、著名製片人、體育營銷專家，開創《武林大會》、《早安中國》、《體育商城》、《康樂年華》等多個欄目。成功運作和推廣“國際跳水冠軍巡迴賽”、“蒙牛城市之間”、“安踏CCTV體壇風雲人物”、“步步高全國排球聯賽”、“體育電視國際論壇”等大型體育賽事和活動，成功將李寧品牌與CCTV-5主持人品牌完美結合，實現了CCTV-5的全頻道包裝。

　　Austin Ruan is CEO of the CCTV Sports Promotion Corporation (CCTVSP) and executive producer of ‘Wushu Masters’, a programme broadcast on CCTV-5 that focuses on the traditional Chinese martial art of wushu. He is a member of the Communist Party of China. A 1989 graduate of Beijing Normal University with a master’s degree in Sports Science, Mr Ruan joined CCTV’s sports department in the same year.

　　From 1989 to 1994 he worked as reporter, editor and editor-in-chief, and then spent the next ten years as a producer.

　　Mr Ruan has been the CEO of CCTVSP since 2005. As a veteran sports journalist and leading producer of sports programmes, and using his expertise in sports marketing, he has been responsible for several successful programmes, among them ‘Wushu Masters’, ‘Good Morning China’, and ‘Sporting Mall’. To date, under his leadership CCTVSP has sponsored such highly-successful events as the International Champions Diving Tour, the ANTA CCTV Sports Personality of the Year awards, the Bubugao National Volleyball League, the International Sports TV Forum, and many other major competitions and sporting events in China; the company was also responsible for managing the combination of the Li Ning sportswear company’s sponsoring CCTV-5 and its presenters.
