Anti-government protesters in Thailand have vowed to fight until victory after the breakdown of negotiations with the government.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's appearance on televesion seems to offer NO solution to the weeks-long, and sometimes bloody crisis.

The prime minister spoke in a nationally televised interview along with the army chief on Sunday, a day after his rejection of a compromise offer by the Red Shirt protesters.

The Prime Minister's appearance is seen as an apparent effort to dispel persistent rumors of a rift with the military.
