Chinese President Hu Jintao, along with other Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation members, have pledged durable measures to sustain the growth of the global economy. President Hu Jintao, put forward China's proposal to revive the world economy, and vowed efforts to combat climate change.

As the world economy gets back on the track of recovery, how to maintain long-term economic growth topped the agenda of leaders from the Asia-Pacific region.

In his address on the final day of the APEC leaders meeting, President Hu Jintao proposed more effective efforts to stimulate consumption and expand domestic demand. He urged a just and open trade and investment environment for economic recovery.

Hu Jintao also emphasized the importance of maintaining sustainable growth, mentioning the need to readjust energy-consumption structure, and develop a green economy.

He also called for efforts to increase employment, and improve the social insurance system to deal with the aftermath of the financial crisis.
