PLA win gold in men's 1000M C2

In the men's 1000m canoes doubles final, Li Zhen and Liu Haitao from team PLA won the gold with a dominating time of 3 minutes 21:917. The Fujian pair won the silver and the bronze went to Guangdong. Liu pocketed five golds in the 10th National Games.

Despite winning the gold Liu still didn't consider his performance today a good one because of lack of strength. He also said that they didn't have a good result in the preliminary round.

The reason they could win the match was because he had a strong partner and they had good teamwork.
