This year's paper promises to continue government efforts to increase farmers' incomes. It also lists the improvement of rural livelihoods as one of the main tasks in China's efforts to adjust the income distribution system of residents. This means a conceptual change in the definition of "the gap of rural-urban development". It means the gap lies not only in incomes, but more importantly, in living standards, including rural infrastructure and public services. Can we say this is great progress? And how will this affect rural development in the future?
