Cross-strait cultural relics show in Beijing

A group of art collectors from the Chinese Mainland and Taiwan, are set to open an exhibition in Beijing. The event aims to promote cross-strait exchange.

Over 70 cultural relics will be displayed, beginning on November 10th and running to the 29th. The works of art will include paintings and calligraphy, porcelain and jade carvings from the Song to Qing Dynasty.

A highlight of the exhibition will be Giuseppe Castiglione's painting of Emperor Qianlong Inspecting the Troops, and Ma Yuan's Landscape Painting. Many of the art pieces are national treasures.

It is being organized by the Beijing Capital Museum, Taiwan's Chang Foundation, and the Beijing Hanhai Auction Company.
