Top of the order is basketball from the NBA as two of the top teams in the western conference squared off with the Houston Rockets hosting perennial contenders the San Antonio Spurs. The Rockets are flying and living up to their name right now as they came in on a ten game win-streak that was the best run of any team in the association. But the Spurs often find a way to win, especially in tough games, and thier depth would show with a late minute contribution from off the bench.

James Harden, named Western Conference player of the week on Monday, leads Houston to roll early on as the hosts go up 11-9.

But San Antonio have so many weapons and LaMarcus Aldridge hooks it in for two of his 17 points.

Then Kawhi Leonard finds Pau Gasol and the Spaniard puts the Spurs up nine midway through the second quarter.

But the Rockets come back quickly as Harden spreads the floor. Ryan Anderson hits from way downtown and thier deficit is down to three.

Harden then slices in for two of his game-high 31 points this night. Rockets lead 71-69.

But when Danny Green stops to deliver this triple, the Spurs are only down by two.

The Rockets lead 100-94 later on, but San Antonio are determined to fight back and make it one-point game with less than 30 seconds to go. Paty Mills then drills the crucial bucket from beyond the arc to lift the Spurs out of the dilema. The visiting team lead by two points, and pushing Houston on the brink of a home defeat.

Harden holds the final possession for the hosts but misses from distance. The Spurs surge back to beat the Rockets 102-100, snapping the latters' ten-game winning run. They also improve to 15-1 away from home.
