A scaffold platform collapsed, leaving 74 people dead and two injured. It's been determined that the main causes of the collapse are that the construction companies had shortened construction time, sped up production and lacked proper management.

The State Council has set up a working team with construction designers and material managers to conduct a thorough investigation. The construction company, Yinengyanta, is located in Hebei province.

The Hebei supervision agency has shut it down and stopped all its projects. The agency is also proceeding with its own investigation to clear up any safety concerns.
