In India, the death toll from Sunday morning's train derailment in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh has risen to 142. However, officials say this figure will rise as they expect to find more bodies in the carnage.
Most of the 500 passengers on board the packed train were asleep when 14 carriages came off the tracks in Pukhrayan, 65 kilometers south of Kanpur city.
