PyeongChang of South Korea is ramping up preparations for the multi-sport spectacle and briefed the media on how efforts are going for the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The press were greeted by the mascots for the PyeongChang Olympiad and then were given a quick tour of some of the already venues. Many of the structures will be used in the coming months during the test events and training sessions. Organisers plan to hold about two dozen test events before April.

In addition to the stadium, South Korea has also spent money on infrastructure projects -- as they built a high-speed rail line, that will cut down the current three-and-half-hour drive from Seoul to Pyeongchang to just over an hour. That is expected to be ready by January 2018. The Games start February ninth, 2018.
