The Qataris were delayed trying to get to China -- many members of the squad needed to wait more than 12 hours at the Bangkok airport before boarding their plane. And the team's head coach that something like this does not happen again in the future.

The China Football Association responded to these remarks on its official website, claiming that the Qatar national team should be fully resiponsible over their delayed arrival in Kunming.

Stating that the delegation could not provide proper certified materials according to international regulations. They also went on to say that the charter materials, provided by Qatar, were seriously inaccurate.

The statement also claimed the Qatar Football Association submitted a team list and charter flight landing information to the CFA. As the host association, the CFA issued visas in a timely fashion, and submitting a certification letter to China's relevant government departments. And that those measures ensured that Qatar successfully came to China for the match. The CFA has done everything possible to provide the maximum help for Qatar.
