To the water, and some news regarding the disappearance of Chinese sailing star Guo Chuan. The mariner has been missing for about three weeks. His crew lost contact with him while he was sailing in the Pacific Ocean during an attempt to set a new solo world record from San Francisco to Shanghai.

Search crews initially found a life jacket aboard his vessel, but he was not on board, but now there is evidence to suggest he was wearing a life jacket, and also had a safety rope with him before falling overboard.

A rescue team of four French sailors made their way aboard Guo's abondoned boat. The group took detailed photos of the trimaran, and then sent them back to crews on land for close inspection.

Guo Chuan's team says the pictures revealed a cracked safety rope buckle, which shows that Guo was not only wearing a life jacket but also had a safety rope with him, when he apparently fell into the water. The team also noticed a crack to part of the boat, and there was also damage to the vessel, that was probably caused by colliding with a hard object.

More investigation is needed to confirm what casued the damage, and why Guo fall into the water.
