Fashion designers are bringing their latest collections to the catwalk at the 42nd edition of the Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil. All the action is taking place this week at Ibira-puera park and in various locations around the city.

The theme of this edition is “Transformation, transgression, transition” and it has adopted the concept of “see now, buy now.” The event started on Sunday and runs until Friday.

 Designer Reinaldo Lourenco’s inspiration came from one of his trips to Sweden, while Patricia Vieira’s collection was inspired by Easter Island. Vieira dished on the inspiration behind her creations.

“This collection is graphic and technological with all this golden, all this hot fix. It is very sexy cause the Easter Island is very sexy,” Vieira said.

“My biggest challenge at this collection, which actually happens in all my collections, was to find out what my client wishes, and what she still doesn’t know.”
