Head onto the court, with the Beijing Ducks preparing for the new campaign by hosting South Korean squad Jeonju KCC Egis in an exhibition game. This unofficial contest would be the Capital Club's first opportunity to face other players since starting practice with their full roster -- which would give Stephon Marbury and company an idea of where they stand as they prepare for the upcoming CBA season.

Duan Jiangpeng is the only new member of the Beijing Ducks roster ahead of the 2016-17 campaign, with the forward joining from the Shanxi Brave Dragons. The Capital Club hopes he can help fill the gaping void left by sixth man Li Gen's departure prior to last season.

"He takes practice very seriously, and would like to play a key role on the team. We will take advantage of his skills, as he is a good shooter and defender. I think he will keep up with us, and earn a lot of time on the court," said Min Lulei, Beijing Ducks coach.

Randolph Morris was the last player to return to Beijing, but has been showing very few signs of rust. The big man is expected to once again comprise half of one of the league's strongest international duos, alongside his fellow former CBA Finals MVP, 39-year-old point guard Stephon Marbury.

The Ducks would fire on all cylinders, including Zhai Xiaochuan draining a ridiculous open trey, to beat Jeonju KCC Egis 107-94 in their exhibition opener, and the overall aim, remains the same.

"This is the fourth year that I am playing with this team, and we have never changed our goal. We have won three championships in the CBA, so we don't have any other goal, but to win the title," said Sun Yue, Beijing Ducks guard.

The Capital Club will tip-off the new CBA campaign by visiting the Xinjiang Flying Tigers on October 30th.
