The Chinese national team continue with their training ahead of their next qualifying match, as they try and reach the 2018 World Cup.

China have 1 loss and a draw in their opening two encounters. And the team's head coach Gao Hongbo is looking to give his players a little rest before their next game with Syria next week.

Many of the PRC's players are still involved with their club team, and could use some time to recover from a long campaign.

Gao said, "As a head coach, it is really hard for me to adjust players' physical and psychological conditions. Most of the team say they are very tired. So I will consult with our medical staff to see if we need more players."

China will host Syria in Xi'An on October 6th. And they will then travel to Uzbekistan for their fourth match of the group on October 11. Uzbekistan lead the pool with six points from two games.
