There is a little more than three weeks away from the Blue Bay LPGA tournament. The event will be played in Sanya on Hainan Island, and organizers have plans to expand the image of the competition.

TTD Sports Management, which owns the development rights of the tournament, held a press conference in Beijing to unveil its plans to boost the event's profile.

The competition is set for October 20-23, with the top 60 players on the LPGA Tour's money list eligible to play, along with the top 15 domestic golfers.

The athletes will be vying for two-point-one million dollars in total prize money. TTD Sports Media is hoping the event can boost the game of golf in China.
