Shanghai Sharks owner voted V.P. of CBA's governing body

The governing body of the league holding its board of directors meeting in Jinan, as they look to impose new regulations on the structure of the Association. The conference involving the governing body, and the head of the 20 CBA teams, among those in attendance, is Yao Ming, the owner of the Shanghai Sharks. 

New members were voted to the board, and that included, the newly enshrined basketball hall-of-famer Yao. The former NBA player will now also hold the title of Vice-President of the organization that oversees the CBA. That company is also known as the CBA, and is a majority shareholder of the league, and are an arm of the General Administration of Sports of China. Li Jinsheng, who was vice-director, in the basketball department of the GAS, is now the president of the CBA, overseeing the country's top basketball league.
