South Korean President Park Geun-hye has expressed concern that the DPRK will intensify its nuclear and missile provocations. Park was addressing government officials in a meeting at the presidential office in Seoul on Thursday.

"I think that the DPRK will not take part in the dialogue for nuclear disarmament anymore, and the country's nuclear and missile provocations will worsen. The South Korean government will do its utmost to secure new, strong international sanctions at the UN Security Council that could actually coerce the North into renouncing its nuclear program, while it will separately take unilateral steps to pressure the North, in tandem with various other countries," Park said.

Seoul denounced the DPRK's fifth nuclear test earlier this month and is urging Pyongyang to dismantle its nuclear program. However, there are signs indicating the DPRK is preparing for another nuclear detonation. Yonhap news agency quotes South Korean government sources as saying the DPRK has covered entrances to two tunnels with camouflage nets at its main Punggye-ri nuclear test site.
