On a day in which gold medals were handed out in 24 events, we have a lot more winners from Rio to tell you about, and beign with archery. Ku Bon-Chan helped South Korea win the men's team title last Saturday, and would now try to claim the individual gold, as he faced Frenchman Jean-Charles Valladont in the Final.

Ku wins the first three sets, and seems to be cruising to victory. But Valladont forces a 29-all draw in the fourth frame, and then wins the fifth. Ku keeps his poise, however, and takes the sixth set 27-26 to clinch the title.

In the women's shot put, Valerie Adams of New Zealand looks to defend the title she won in London, when the original champ from Belarus was stripped for doping. But Michelle Carter of the U-S prevails instead, with a toss of 20.63 meters. Hungary's Anita Marton is third, and China's Gong Lijiao fourth.
