It's a little less than two weeks away till the festivities begin in Rio. The athletes are starting to filter into Brazil, and that includes the Chinese delegation, who are trying to adapt to their new environment, and get acclimated for the multi-sport spectacle which will have its opening ceremony a week from Friday.

China is sending its largest ever team to an Olympics not being staged on home soil, with 416 athletes comprising the team.

Several members of the team, competing in various different sports are already in the Olympic city. Because Rio is in the southern hemisphere, it is currently winter in Brazil, so the high temperatures usually associated with the Summer Games, will not be as prevalent.

China finished second on the medal table at the last Olympics in London, garnering 38 golds, and 88 medals total. They will look to better that as they challenge for top spot in the overall standings.
