Switch over to tennis and the semi-finals of the Mercedes Cup where the man many consider to be the best ever on the surface, Roger Federer was taking on the rapidly rising third seed from Austria Dominic Thiem. Feds has only recently returned from injury and the Swiss Maestro is looking to tune up his game ahead of Wimbledon where he 'll pursue a record eighth title.

But Roger is yet to win a trophy this year. He had knee surgery following the Australian Open and was forced to skip the French Open due to a bad back, but the top seed takes the first set 6-3 with this blast to the corner.

Thiem led 5-0 in the second set before allowing Federer to pull even by winning five straight games and this volley gives him match point at 6-5 in the tiebreaker.

But Roger would waste two chances to put it away and Thiem now has set point himself and he takes it with the smash and the crowd appreciates his fight back.

The match would be interrupted for 30 minutes twice by rain, the second delay coming right after Thiem broke for 4-3. And the Austrian is going to win the frame 6-4 when Federer goes wide, sealing a huge upset victory for the young Austrian.
