To Asia now where in the AFC champions league, SIPG welcome Tokyo to Shanghai for the second leg of their last 16 tie.

Sven Goran Ekrison's men are 2-1 down from the first encounter in the Japanese capital but that precious away goal means a one-nil win will be enough for them to advance to the quarter-finals.

It's been a busy schedule for the Chinese side with them still in every competition they have entered this season.

The team are boosted by the news, key men Dario Conca and Wu Lei have extended their contracts at the Shanghai stadium for another 2 years but forward Asamoah Gyan is missing from tonight's match with a thigh strain.

Portsmen defender ,Shi Ke, is well aware of the difficulty of the task in hand and knows it will be tough to break down the Japanese side since the onus is on SIPG to attack.

"We hope our players can recover soon from last week's league match, and I think we have no problem to do so. We should be ready to fight for the match," said Sven-Goran Eriksson, SIPG head coach.

Scoreless draw will see Japanese side advance

It's been a season of mixed fortunes for Tokyo since the start of the new season. FCT have failed to emulate their form of the previous campaign that saw them finish second with the Japanese team currently languishing in mid-table in the J-league.

Boss Hiroshi Jofuku has said his side must be resilient in defence since they have a slender lead going into the game and expects a heavy onslaught from their opponents.

Also in action are Korean side Jeonbuk Motors who play Melbourne Victory in the East Asian Zone. In the West, Lokomotiv Tashkent face Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr go up against Tractor Sazi.
