- A grand exhibition of treasures from France's Louvre Museum, one of the oldest large museums in the world, was held in Beijing around the Spring Festival. A collection of 126 art treasures from the Louvre, including sculptures, paintings, cultural relics and handicrafts, are on display at the Invention of Louvre exhibition that opened at the National Museum of China on Jan. 13. The exhibition, which is divided into six parts, shows the relationship between the changes to its building clusters and the royal family, between the nobles, artists and collectors of all times, and explores the ways for museums to seek sustainable development and enrich their collections.
