CCTVNEWS is the only 24-hour English language television channel broadcasting in China. We aim to provide global audiences with a better understanding of today’s China, while offering a Chinese perspective on international news and current affairs. CCTVNEWS is focused on becoming a high quality, trustworthy and respected global news brand, and a leading source of information for China, Asia and the world.

To meet the needs of our expanding program schedule, CCTVNEWS is seeking experienced and dynamic candidates for the following positions.

Location: Beijing（or specified locations）

Contract length: 1 year (subject to renewal)

Type of Position: Full Time

All positions require the following:

5+ years experience working in the media industry
Native English fluency
University degree, preferably in journalism, media, communications, politics or economics
Excellent writing skills
Well-versed in international and regional politics and economy
Ability to handle tight deadlines
Able to work on a highly cooperative team under pressure
Willing to work flexible and irregular hours
Non-Chinese passport holder

Positions available

Job Description:
• Host programs and news bulletins
• Anchor live coverage
• Conduct interviews with guests and talk live with correspondents in the field
• Record voice-overs, headlines and teases
• Provide advice to reporters and editors to improve scripts

Requirements:
• Thorough knowledge of television production techniques used in studio and in the field
• Ability to handle live breaking news
• Strong communication and research skills
• Knowledge and understanding of Asia is a plus
