Red-Shirt protesters in Bangkok, Thailand have pulled out of negotiations with the government, dashing hopes for an imminent resolution to the country's political crisis.
The move came on Saturday after prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva rejected scaled-back demands that he dissolve Parliament in 30 days.
The Red Shirt protesters had previously demanded Parliament be immediately dissolved.
But they softened their stance on Friday, offering the government 30 days to disband the legislature in a move they said was aimed at preventing further bloodshed.
