CCTV interview: Standoff in Thailand

Q1. The standoff between government troops and red-shirt protestors has been going on for over a month now in the Thai capital of Bangkok. The most recent bomb blasts have killed three people and wounded dozens. How has this political dispute affected the social and economic situation in the country?

Q2. It was reported a few weeks ago that Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has asked for other coalition parties' approval to dissolve the lower house of parliament if the situation gets out of control. Given the escalating tension right now, is this likely to happen?

Q3. In your opinion, what could be a possible solution to end this chaos? Could the international community push for constructive negotiations between the red-shirts and the government?
