More quake relief materials arrive in quake-hit area

The resettlement of victims of quake-hit Yushu in northwest China's Qinghai Province are underway. Over 28,000 tents have been transported to Yushu. More quake relief materials including food, clean water and other basic needs have arrived in the quake-hit area as well.

The tents were set up just in time...right before Yushu was hit by a snowstorm Saturday night.

Quake Victim, Yushu Quake Zone, said, "We received the tents last evening. The rescuers helped set them up. Now we have shelters to live in."

Rescuer, Yushu Quake Zone, said, "We started pitching tents early in the morning. Now there are about 20 tents set up. We'll continue when more tents arrive."

The relief workers also delivered food to the victims.

In settlement areas in Yushu, hot meals are provided three times a day.

Rescuer, Yushu Quake Zone, said, "We provide different food for breakfast, lunch and dinner to about 4,000 people everyday."

So far, 88,000 quilts and coats, and nearly one thousand tons of instant food and drinking water have arrived in the quake zone. More disaster relief materials are on the way.
