Preliminary polls indicate a victory for the leader of Britain's third-placed political party, following a live TV debate between the three main party leaders hoping to become the next Prime Minister.
It's the first time such an event has been held in the run up to a British General Election.
Thursday's 90-minute clash between Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Conservative leader David Cameron and Nick Clegg of the Liberal Democrats focused on domestic issues, including crime and immigration policy.
