Discovery delivers cargo container to ISS

Japanese astronaut Naoko Yamazaki has completed attaching a huge cargo container to the International Space Station.

The unit was part of the payload brought to the ISS by the shuttle Discovery on Wednesday.

Using the shuttle's robotic arm, Yamazaki removed the container, which is 4.5 meters in diameter and 6.4 meters in length, from the cargo bay and attached it to the space station.

The container is packed with seven tons of supplies such as food, water and equipment for experiments.

Yamazaki and other crew-members will unload the supplies and distribute them to various sections of the Space Station.
