Expo Village ready to receive guests

Similar to every Olympic Games, Shanghai World Expo is complete with an Expo Village for overseas exhibitors. All preparations have been completed and the temporary international community will begin receiving guests early next month.

Located to the east of the Expo Park, the Expo Village is composed of 24 apartment buildings. Nearly 1,900 furnished suites in the buildings will accommodate nearly 10,000 guests. Supermarkets, a post office, restaurants and gyms are easily available within the village complex. Future residents will be exhibitors and other personnel from overseas. So far 165 countries, regions and international organizations have applied for accommodation at the village. Nearly 3 quarters of the available rooms have already been booked.
