There have been further violent clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Palestinian medical officials reported that one teenager had been killed.

The 16-year-old was confirmed dead after being shot in the chest by Israeli security forces. Palestinians clashed with troops near the West Bank city of Nablus, during protests over Israel's settlement policy.

Elsewhere, similar disturbances erupted in the Arab neighborhood of Shoafat in East Jerusalem. Violence has been occurring in the area throughout the past week.

Along with the Israeli settlement plans, residents are angry about rumors that Jewish extremists are planning to take over the Al-Aqsa Mosque, or 'Dome of the Rock', a holy site to both Muslims and Jews.
