Obama postpones Asia trip for health care vote

President Obama has also postponed his trip to Asia, to stay in Washington for a possible Sunday vote on his health care plan.

White House spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said Obama has called the leaders of Indonesia and Australia to express his regret for the delaying his trip until June. House Democrats, say they are on track to vote on Sunday on the 940-billion-dollar health care bill.

In the White House, Obama said the reform plan will bring new accountability to the insurance industry and greater economic security to all Americans. He urged lawmakers... to consider those figures as they prepare to vote on the bill. The White House said Obama will continue his one-on-one hard sell of the legislation to wavering members of Congress up until the final hours.
