Thailand has tightened security in the capital Bangkok after two hand grenades exploded outside branches of the country's biggest bank.

A large security force has been mobilized to secure important locations around the capital, especially banches of the Bangkok Bank.

Four grenades were hurled at different branches of the bank late on Saturday. Two exploded, and two were disposed of safely.

The explosions caused little damage and no injuries. The bank has been targeted recently by anti-government protesters and supporters of the former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
