Special Report: 8.8 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Chile |

The Chilean Army is taking people off many parts of Easter Island. It's located some 35-hundred kilometers from Valparaiso on Chile's Pacific coast and has 4 thousand inhabitants.

There are fears of high sea waves triggered by the 8 point 8 magnitude earthquake that struck the country on Saturday. The mayor says the evacuation is going smoothly.
