Police and protestors have clashed, during a march against Greece's austerity plans. Public and private unions, that represent half of the country's 5-million strong workforce, called a joint strike for the first time since October.

Around 20-thousand workers marched to parliament to mark the 24-hour strike.

They were protesting against a public wage freeze, tax rises and the raising of the retirement age... part of the government's austerity plan.

Postal Worker, said, "The poor should not be paying for the crisis, the rich should be paying for it, and those who created the crisis".
