A spokesperson for South Korea's Unification Ministry told a news conference in Seoul that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has expressed its gratitude for help combating the A/H1-N1 flu virus.

South Korea offered the anti-viral drugs to its northern neighbor last year to help it contain the spread of the flu. Seoul shipped 500-thousand doses of Tamiflu and Relenza, worth 15 million US dollars to the DPRK in December last year. On Tuesday, South Korea delivered 870-thousand US dollars worth of hand sanitizer to the DPRK to help the country fight the virus.
