Dutch Labor Party set to gain seats

Polls in Amsterdam show the Dutch Labor Party is likely to gain seats after pulling out from the cabinet in the row over the troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Pollsters say the break up of the government is good news for the party's voters. Polls suggest, the party would gain four seats in the next parliament, taking it to 19.

Maurice De Hond, Dutch Pollster, said, "The outlook for the future government is very difficult outlook and very grey outlook because in the Netherlands you need a majority of the seats in the parliament and the biggest party at this moment has still only twenty percent votes or less, so we need at least three parties, but most for sure four parties to form a government. And, because there is no majority on the left, there's no majority on the right and also, CDA and Labor couldn't come together. I don't know how they can form a government after the next elections."
