Today is the fourth day of the Chinese New Year. And from the icy north to the tropical seashores in the south, from the culture-rich east to the mountains in the west people are celebrating the biggest festival of the year.
In Northwest China's Xinjiang Uyger Autonamous Region, the ice sculpture festival in Balikun has become a major attraction.
It explores traditional new year celebrations, folklores and local customs.
Liu Haoqi, Tourist, said, "I feel a little surprised and very impressed seeing all of the exquisite sculptures. "
Cold conditions in the ancient town of Huanglongxi in Sichuan, hasn't stopped tourists coming to experience the old way of life.
