Israel warns Syria against aggression

Israel's Foreign Minister is warning Syria against aggression. Avigdor Lieberman says if Syrian President Bashar al-Assad orders an attack on Israel, he would not only lose the war but also his power.

Lieberman also asked Syria to relinquish its demand for the Golan Heights. He adds that he supports peace with Syria as long as the Golan Heights remain in Israel's hands.

Lieberman's remarks came after the Syrian president on Wednesday accused Israel of pushing the region towards war and of not being serious about achieving peace.
