Chinese Vice-Premier Li Keqiang has visited and met with business leaders from Swiss power and banking companies.

On Wednesday, Li Keqiang paid a visit to ABB's headquarters in Zurich, where he praised the company's involvement in major projects in China including the Three George's Dam, the Qianghai-Tibet Railway, the Beijing 2008 Olympics and the 2010 Shanghai Expo.

Later, the vice premier also held talks with UBS Chairman Kaspar Villiger and CISCO Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Chambers. Villiger and Chambers said foreign companies doing business in China are optimistic about the prospect of China's economic development and are willing to participate in China's process of economic development on a long-term and sustainable basis.

Li stressed China will make effective use of foreign capital. The Vice Premier is in Switzerland for a four-day visit, where he will also attend the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos.
