Sri Lanka's election officials have begun distributing ballot boxes, as the country prepares to hold its sixth presidential election on Tuesday.
It's also the first vote since Sri Lanka ended its 30-year war against the Tamil Tiger rebels. More than 14 million people are registered to vote at over 11 thousand polling stations.

Nearly 70,000 police will be deployed to maintain order on election day. The result is expected to be known on Wednesday.
