Special Report: Strong Quake Hits Haiti |

Many foreign governments and aid agencies are scrambling to help people in Haiti. Various rescue teams are en route to the Caribbean island country.

Brazil has deployed two military planes with canned food and water. They were expected to land at Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince Thursday morning.

On Wednesday, Brazil's President asked several ministers and governors to join him in a minute of silence, honoring those killed in the earthquake.

And the President expressed his condolences.

Liuz Inacio Lula Da Silva, Brazilian President, said, "Haiti already has a series of unsolved problems, and sincerely, those people didn't deserve this, another tragedy in their lives."
