Special Report: Failed Christmas day attack |

Passengers heading from Pakistan to the United States are facing increased security checks, following US requests. They come after a Nigerian man allegedly tried to ignite explosives, on a flight to Detroit. Meanwhile, Lebanon says Beirut's International Airport has always had strict security, and that it hasn't changed anything since the high-profile security breach on the US bound airliner.

Extra security measures were put into place at Islamabad's Benazir Bhutto International Airport on January the first for US-bound passengers on the national airline PIA.

Passengers are being segregated in a special lounge, and subjected to further body searches and hand-luggage screening before boarding. A special team of PIA security officials are responsible for the extra searches.
