South Korea will provide aid for the treatment of A/H1N1 flu in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Lee Jong-Joo, Spokesperson of South Korea Unification Ministry, said, "Our government will provide humanitarian treatment drugs, without any conditions, to the North as soon as possible."
Pyongyang has reported that there were nine confirmed A/H1N1 flu cases in the country. The aid offer indicates a desire by both sides for better relations despite a naval clash near their disputed western sea border last month. The two sides could discuss the timing of the delivery in a meeting at the border village of Panmunjom on Friday.
