Vice Foreign Affairs Minister, Wang Guangya, has announced Premier Wen Jiabao will attend the climate conference in Copenhagen. He said it shows the determination, confidence and political will of the Chinese government to tackle climate change.

Wang confirmed Premier Wen's attendance to the Copenhagen conference, but did not give further details of his agenda there. He said the target of the climate change conference in Copenhagen is to build on progress already made by the Kyoto Protocol. Wang's comments came as the US and China exchanged arguments at the talks.
