Baghdad is mourning its dead after a multiple attack on Tuesday killed at least 127 and wounded more than 500. The prime minister has asked Iraqis to be patient and remain calm.
Across Baghdad, Iraqis are shedding tears for victims of the bombings.
Families have been collecting their dead relatives and preparing them for burial, while others wait at the morgue to claim bodies authorities are still working to identify.
Local residents rushed to hospitals to donate blood for those who were injured in the bombings.
The Iraqi government has come under fire for security lapses following the attacks.
Nassar Ahmed, Baghdad Resident, said, "No senior officer was interrogated when the previous explosions took place. The prime minister, the commander in chief of the armed forces should punish those responsible, for dereliction of duty."
The prime minister called on Iraqis to stand by their security forces.
Nouri Al-Maliki, Iraqi Prime Minister, said, "The insurgents try to spread chaos, hatred and sectarianism and confront what Iraqis have achieved in terms of security as a result of their struggle, effort and patience."
The latest bloody attacks have outraged Iraqis who fear that a rise in violence and political instability could again turn politicians into combatants, bringing the country back to the sectarian and racial strife that engulfed the country after the US-led invasion in 2003.
