UN official discusses hacked E-mails

On the eve of the Copenhagen gathering United Nations officials, concede that hacked e-mails from scientists, have tampered with research relating to climate change.

Nevertheless, UN officials, maintain evidence supporting warming globe is solid. The stolen messages show some of world's leading scientists, discussing ways to shield data from public scrutiny, and suppress the work of others.

Those who deny the influence of human activity on climate change have jumped all over the illegally obtained correspondence. They argue, that scientists have conspired to hide evidence that might dispute the causes and actual occurance of global warming.

Yvo De Boer, Executive Secretary, UN Framework convention on Climate Change, said, "Well, it does look bad, of course. I mean, this correspondence looks very bad. But I think that both the university is looking into this, I believe there's a police investigation going on (into) whether the e-mails were leaked or stolen."
