Iraqi security officials have revealed the confessions of three men suspected of helping plan last month's twin suicide bombings which killed 155 people. Security officials, say confessions were written down in the presence of an investigation judge and a prosecutor.

The three men are all former policemen, army officers and a laborer. The bombing suspects admitted that they were members of the outlawed Baath party of former President Saddam Hussein. Police, say the three conducted surveillance of the Justice Ministry and the Baghdad provincial government building.

They drove vehicles loaded with explosives close to the sites before the suicide bombers took over. However, the suspects made no mention of al- Qaeda, an affiliated group of which had claimed responsibility for the attacks.
