EU leaders have agreed to demands by the Czech Republic, clearing the way for approval of the stalled reform treaty.

Czech President Vaclav Klaus had refused to to sign until his country was offered an opt-out from the Lisbon Treaty's Charter of Fundamental Rights.

Swedish Prime Minister Frderik Reinfeld, the current EU chair, says he applauds many of the

European leaders for showing leadership and goodwill to get the Czech Republic on side.

He also stressed the concession has no legal impact on neighboring countries. EC President Jose Manuel Barroso say the last political hurdle to the Lisbon Treaty has been removed.
