Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is vowing that Tehran will not give up the country's right to nuclear technology, but is ready to co-operate on fuel issues. He made the remarks at a rally on Thursday.
Speaking to a crowd in the northeastern city of Mashhad, Ahmadinejad says Tehran is ready to work on nuclear fuel supplies and technical know-how with the UN nuclear watchdog.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian President, said, "We welcome cooperation on nuclear fuel, power plants and technology and we are ready to cooperate."
However he reiterates his country's repeated stance on its nuclear right.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian President, said, "The world should know as long as this government is in power, it will not retreat one iota on the undeniable rights of the Iranian Nation."
Ahmadinejad was speaking on the day Iran delivered its decision on a UN pact, which seeks to ease tension over Tehran's disputed nuclear program.
Iranian media say Tehran will accept the framework of the deal, but also demands changes to it.
The draft nuclear fuel deal was hammered out by IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei in follow-up talks to a meeting between Iran and six world powers in Geneva, where Iran also agreed to open a new enrichment site for UN inspections.
